Future of Web – HTML 5

HTML

HTML 5

The writing is on the wall: HTML 5 is the future. Soon after Apple embraced HTML 5 specifications & disallowed any FLASH based applications on its highly successful Iphone and Ipad, the industry analysts have started predicting checkmate for FLASH because HTML 5 has the potential to rival the multimedia capabilities of proprietary plug-in software’s like FLASH & Silverlight. It will also allow web site design projects to have structured pages and will give more power to the browser to carry out functions like video playback and drag and drop.

HTML 5 is being touted as the next generation mark up language with several new features. It will soon be knocking at your doorstep. Find as much as you can about it before your competitor does and uses it to design future websites.

What’s Killing Web Design?

Web Design

Web Design

Writing is on the wall. Web designing is a dying art. These ominous words are being discussed openly on web designing forums right across the World Wide Web. Here is my two cents worth on the subject. The problem, most clients face these days is that the projects on web designing are handled by freelancers who lack imagination and depend too much on web content management systems to oversee and control a bulky, ever-changing group of web materials.

CMS tools have started imposing designs, leading to a kind of uniformity across the web which is now getting annoying. Also, most web designing work nowadays lack creativity and detailing of the times when designers moved away from their comfort zones and got their hands dirty. Web designers need to broaden their horizons and enhance their skill sets. It’s all about having a personality and incorporating that into your web designs. Be yourself & do it yourself to convey your identity through your designs.

Design Vs Content? – You Decide!

Content vs Design

Content vs Design

Have a question for you! Is it true that a design is the most important part of any website and without a powerful design concept the content doesn’t matter and you could be wasting your money by investing in a content writer? Well may be not wasting but in my opinion you are certainly not making the most of it. As they say, “first impression is the last impression” and if your first impression is tacky then the visitors to your website will conclude that your products or services are tacky too. So when they visit your website they would not be engaged by it and would eventually move on.  Projects on web designing should be handled by professionals who design a compelling & positive first impression for your website & its visitors. It’s better to invest in a new design first and content should come later to have a successful moneymaking venture. But I don’t have any data to back me up!
